They expressed the need to expedite developmental projects in the island

Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the council members of Fiyoari Island in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
The meeting took place at the President's Office on Wednesday.
President's Office disclosed that the discussions at the meeting centred on the administration-led developmental initiatives and pressing concerns of the island's residents.
As such, during the meeting, the council members shared with the Vice President the challenges facing the island school following a recent fire incident. The incident forced the school to switch to single-session schooling.
Additionally, the councilors also briefed the Vice President about difficulties in operating the healthcare center of the island.
They also expressed the need to expedite developmental projects, including the water and sewerage network projects in Fiyoari.
Speaking with the council members, the Vice President reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring the equitable development of all islands. He also assured them that the administration would find amicable solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
