An individual has been stabbed in Hithadhoo district of southernmost Addu City.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that the injured individual was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The stabbing was reported to the police institution at around 10:02pm on February 16.
An 18-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the stabbing.
Details of what led to the stabbing and the extent of injuries suffered by the victim, have not be specified by the authority yet.
However, the police institution has confirmed that further investigations are underway, in connection with the stabbing.
