President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met this year’s President's Scholarship recipient.

The president met Fathimath Huyam Khalila, the recipient of the President's Scholarship 2023, at the President's Office on Tuesday.

Huyam is a student from Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya.

Congratulating Huyam on her academic accomplishments, the president encouraged her to pursue further studies.

Recognizing the contributions of Huyam's school and her family in her educational journey, President Solih went on to express hope that Huyam would show the same enthusiasm in her higher education and return home to serve the nation with integrity.

Having scored the highest distinctions in 13 subjects at the Shahada Saanaviyya examinations, Huyam chose to pursue higher education in architecture at the Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL), Malaysia.

The ceremony to present the scholarship award letter to Huyam was attended by Huyam's mother, Deputy Principal of Al Madhrasathul Arabiyyathul Islamiyya, Aishath Azma as well as Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan.
