The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Abdulla Shahid is in Sri Lanka on an official visit.
Minister Shahid arrived in Sri Lanka at the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Ali Sabry, to attend the celebrations for the 75th Anniversary of the Independence of Sri Lanka, on Thursday.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives states that Minister Shahid will pay courtesy call on the President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, as part of his visit.
He will also be paying a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Dinesh Gunawardena and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, Ali Sabry.
Furthermore, Minister Shahid will visit the High Commission of the Maldives in Sri Lanka and meet with the Maldivian community living in Sri Lanka.
Minister Shahid is accompanied by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Khaleel, Secretary Bilateral, Dr. Hala Hameed, Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hussain Jahhaz and Assistant Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aishath Fareena.
