Mohamed Nizam, native to Thinadoo Island of Gaafu Dhaal Atoll arrested in connection to a murder case

Mohamed Nizam, (45yo), native to Thinadoo Island of Gaafu Dhaal Atoll, arrested in connection to a murder case has been remanded for 60 days.

MPS arrested Nizam under a court order, in relation to a murder case on 03 January, 2023.

Nizam was earlier reported missing on 28 December, 2022, along with a Bangladeshi native, Mohamed Liton (35yo).

MPS found him hiding in a guest house in Hulhumale , and was found to be in good health.

However, Liton still remains missing.

Nizam and Liton went missing on a fuel barge, after departing from Vilimale’. While the barge was found near Hulhule' on 29 December, 2022, neither of the two men were onboard.
