State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and Member of House of Representatives, Takei Shunsuke has arrived in the Maldives.
The State Minister of Japanese Foreign Ministry arrived in the Maldives on Monday. His visit to the Maldives is an official visit to commemorate the 55th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Maldives and Japan.
During this visit, State Minister Takei Shunsuke will pay courtesy calls on the Maldivian President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology Aminath Shauna, and Minister of Defence, Mariya Ahmed Didi.
State Minister Takei Shunsuke will also be signing the Exchange of Notes for the grant assistance of 700 million Japanese Yen to be provided by the Government of Japan to enhance sustainable waste management capabilities in the Maldives.
He will also take part in the unveiling ceremony of the relocation of the Seawall Monument, which was first unveiled in 1990.
State Minister Takei Shunsuke was received by Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Amin Javed Faizal.
