Bank of Maldives (BML) has celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The country’s national bank revealed via a press release on Sunday, that they kicked off celebrations to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, in partnership with the Maldives Deaf Association (MDA).
As such, a children’s evening was held in Guraidhoo island of Kaafu atoll to celebrate the day.
More than 200 individuals from the Home for People with Special Needs, joined the event to participate in the activities.
An initiative by MDA, the event was hosted with the incentive of providing inclusive opportunities for the deaf community and the society to come together.
On Sunday, BML also distributed gift packs for all SEN students of Imaaduddin School to mark the day.
