Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid, has discussed ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation and collaboration Maldives and Pakistan with the newly appointed High Commissioner of Pakistan to the Maldives, Vice Admiral (Rtd) Muhammad Fayyaz Gilani

The new High Commissioner of Pakistan paid a courtesy call on Minister Shahid on Tuesday.

During the meeting Minister Shahid welcomed the High Commissioner and congratulated him on presenting credentials as the High Commissioner of Pakistan in the Maldives.

The Minister noted the excellent bonds of friendship that exist between the two nations, and exchanged views with the High Commissioner on ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation and collaboration.

High Commissioner Gilani thanked the Minister for the warm welcome and expressed his commitment to work closely with the Government and the people of Maldives to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Minister Shahid was accompanied by Secretary Bilateral, Dr. Hala Hameed, Additional Secretary, Ibrahim Uvais and Assistant Director, Aishath Fareena.
