Newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Algeria to Maldives called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday
The newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Republic of Maldives, Abderrahmane Benguerrah remains committed to work closely with the government of Maldives to further enhance collaborations between the two countries.
The new ambassador made this assurance during a courtesy call paid on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
FM Shahid congratulated the new ambassador and expressed keen interest to observe renewed partnership and enhanced bilateral cooperation between the two countries during his tenure.
The meeting saw FM Shahid and Ambassador Benguerrah shedding light on the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries.
They went on to engage in discussions regarding ideas to further deepen the bilateral ties, cultural exchanges and people-to-people contact between Maldives and Algeria.
Thanking FM Shahid for the warm welcome, the new Algerian ambassador conveyed his “strong” commitment to work closely with the Maldivian government and people to further solidify collaborations.
