A new Managing Director has been appointed to the universal health insurance scheme of Maldives, Aasandha Company Limited.
The company revealed that Ismail Azzam Wajeeh was appointed their Managing Director on Thursday.
Prior to being appointed the new MD of Aasandha Company, Azzam served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA).
Following his appointment, the company welcomed the new MD and expressed gratitude and appreciation to their former MD, Mariyam Shafeeq for her services during her tenure.
Aasandha Company went on to wish Mariyam success in her future endeavors.
Mariyam was appointed to the NSPA on Thursday, following Azzam’s resignation from the position.
Prior to her appointment to the post of NSPA’s CEO, Mariyam served as the Managing Director of Aasandha Company Ltd.
Mariyam has a Master’s Degree in Health Economics from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
In a bid to manage the national social and health insurance system, Aasandha Company Limited was established in 2011.
