Dusit Thani won three sets after Soneva Fushi won the first set

Dusit Thani defeated Soneva Fushi in Zone Five of the Inter Resort Volleyball Tournament.
The two teams lost all their previous matches in the tournament. However when they faced each other Dusit Thani won the match with 3 sets after Soneva Fushi had won the first set.
Soneva won the first set 22-25 However, Dusit Thani gained hope by winning the next set 25-19. In that spirit, Dusit Thani won the next two sets as well. They were 25-21 and 25-20. Ibrahim Fazeel of Dusit Thani was named the man of the match. With this defeat, Soneva ended the tournament without a win. Dusit Thani has one more match left. They will play against Vakar Maldives on Tuesday.
Amilla Fushi is in the top spot of the zone with three wins. Vakkaru Maldives and Anantara have six points from three matches. Dusit Thani has three points while Soneva has no points. Amilla Fushi has a chance to go straight to the final if they win against Anantara on Saturday evening.
This year's inter-resort tournament is called the Golden Year Inter-Resort Volleyball Tournament. It is in connection with the 50th anniversary of tourism in Maldives.
