Amillafushi advances to the final after beating Anantara

Amillafushi beat Anantara Kihavah in the ninth match of the Inter Resort Volleyball Tournament.

Amillafushi beat Anantara in three sets and two sets. They won all four of their matches and made it to the final. Anantara have won two of their four matches and lost the other two.

Anantara won the first set of the match which was a competitive one for both teams. The team won the set with a 14-25 lead. However, Amillafushi won the second set by the same score. Unlike the first two sets, the third set was competitive. Anantara won the set 20-2 Anantara was one set ahead but Amillafushi won the fourth set 25-2 A fifth set had to be played to decide the result. The set was won by Amillafushi 15-0 Hussain Shahid (Shard) was named the man of the match.

They are top of the table with 11 points from four games. Anantara is in second place with seven points from four games. Vakkar Maldives are third with six points from three matches. Fourth-placed Dusit Thani has three points while bottom-placed Soneva Fushi has no points.

This year's inter-resort tournament is called the Golden Year Inter-Resort Volleyball Tournament. It is in connection with the 50th anniversary of tourism in Maldives.
