A Maldivian man has drowned off Ungoofaaru island in Raa atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received reports of the man having drowned in Ungoofaaru island, while out at sea, snorkeling.
Police received the report on Monday afternoon.
The police institution cited the Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital having revealed that the man was already dead when he was rushed in.
The man was 25 years of age at the time of his passing.
Police revealed that further investigations are currently underway into the drowning incident.
