President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded his official tour of Meemu atoll.
The president returned to the capital on Monday afternoon.
During the visit, President Solih toured five islands of Meemu atoll, namely Raiymandhoo, Maduvvari, Dhiggaru, Veyvah and Muli.
He departed on the trip on August 27.
During the visits, the president inspected the progress of the ongoing development projects in these islands.
President Solih also participated in the ceremony marking the conclusion of the shore protection project in Dhiggaru island, as well as the ceremony to officially inaugurate the harbor and power-house in Veyvah island.
He also sat down with members of the Meemu Atoll Council, island councils and Women’s Development Committees of the respective islands.
President Solih also inaugurated a new volleyball court developed by Dhiggaru.
A high-level delegation of senior government officials accompanied the president during the visits.
