FM Shahid committed to further enhance Maldives-Singapore relations
FM Shahid sent warm greetings, felicitations and good wishes to his Singaporean counterpart

Abdulla Shahid, Maldives’ Minister of Foreign Affairs has expressed keen interest to enhance relations between Maldives and Singapore, in the future.
The Maldivian foreign minister said this in a message sent to Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan on the auspicious occasion of Singapore’s 57th National Day.
As such, FM Shahid sent warm greetings, felicitations and good wishes to his Singaporean counterpart as well as the government and people on the joyous occasion, on behalf of the government and people of Maldives.
In his message, the Maldivian foreign minister went on to highlight that Maldives and Singapore have “always” enjoyed close ties of friendship.
Further, he noted that as both countries celebrate the 57th anniversary of Independence in 2022, he looks forward to enhancing the ties in the future.
Before concluding, the foreign minister expressed best wishes for his Singaporean counterpart’s good health.
He also expressed best wishes for further progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Singapore.
