The preparations for the construction of the quay wall for the harbor in Feydhoo island of Shaviyani atoll, is well underway.
The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) revealed that the full shipment of the precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction of Sh. Feydhoo Harbor, were delivered to the project site on August 1.
Currently underway are the preparations to commence quay wall construction works, revealed the company.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct dredging operations of 27,500 cubic meters and construct a quay wall measuring 276 meters.
The company is also required to build a revetment measuring 90 meters as well as a 378-meter breakwater.
The installation of navigation lights and streetlights is also included under the scope of the project.
The project is valued at MVR 35.6 million.
