President advices to retain familial bonds and to forgive one another
The President advised the public to consider the significance of an Eid falling after the Hajj pilgrimage
President Solih extended sincere greetings and warm felicitations on the occasion to all Maldivian citizens as well as all the Muslims in Mecca for the Holy Pilgrimage
President Solih expressed best wishes to the members of the Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha

President Ibrahim Mohames Solih has advised the people to retain familial bonds and to cultivate the habit of forgiving one another.

The President of Maldives made this remark in his written address on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, 1443.

In his address, the Presidene noted how important it is to forgive one another, make peace with one another, and cultivate and sustain familial bonds within the community as we celebrate Eid.

In his message, President Solih extended sincere greetings and warm felicitations on the occasion to all Maldivian citizens as well as all the Muslims in Mecca for the Holy Pilgrimage. He also expressed best wishes to the members of the Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid al-Adha.

The President advised the public to consider the significance of an Eid falling after the Hajj pilgrimage. He highlighted that some of the fundamental lessons derived from the rituals of the Hajj, include treating everyone fairly, promoting sociability and working together as a team for the same ambitions. President Solih noted that these are the qualities needed to solve communal issues that our society faces today.

The President emphasized on the benefits of helping one another and said that simple acts of kindness such as exchanging gifts and wishing each other well would help end animosity and foster togetherness in the community. In his address, the President also urged the public to put the good of the nation ahead of their own interests.
