"The friendly relations between Maldives and Philippines will flourish"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid has stated that he is confident that the friendly relations and cooperation that exist between Maldives and the Philippines will continue to flourish.

The Foreign Minister stated this in his congratulatory message to the new Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, Enrique Manalo, on his appointment.

Conveying his warm congratulations to the new Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Philippines, Minister Shahid highlighted that the Maldives and the Philippines have always enjoyed warm and friendly ties based on mutual respect and trust. He stated how confident he is that the the friendly relations and cooperation that exist between Maldives and Philippines will be further strengthened during Manalo's term in office.

Minister Shahid in his message also stated that he looks forward to working closely with Manalo and the Government of the Republic of the Philippines in further enhancing the close bilateral relations, and in achieving shared interests and objectives.

The Foreign Minister of Maldives concluded his message by conveying his best wishes for Manalo’s good health and well-being, as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Philippines.

He sent the assurances of his highest consideration.
