Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) and Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) took part in the Travel Agents Forum at Las Vegas, USA.

The forum was from 20 June, 2022 to 23 June 2022.

The Forum, organized by Travel Show Marketing Group (TravelSMG), is one of the largest travel agent trade shows in North America.

TravelSMG is an independent event and tradeshow organizer exclusively serving the North American leisure travel agent community. The organization works with several associations and marketing partners, which contributes to the overall marketing reach of well over 40,000 travel agent professionals.

MATATO and MMPRC highlights that the aim was to give Maldivian travel businesses the opportunity to make direct networking with the North American market and other emerging markets around the world.

Four co-exhibitors, along with MATATO and MMPRC took part in the forum; Resort Life, Reollo Travels, MY Felicity and Villa Hotels.

USA accounts for 4.2 percent of tourist arrivals to the Maldives in 2021 with the 5th largest market share.
