Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali, Maldives Minister of Islamic Affairs has headed to Turkey on an official visit.
The Islamic Ministry revealed that during the visit, the Maldivian minister will be meeting with Turkey’s President of the Presidency of Regional Affairs Professor Dr. Ali Arbaasaa, to hold discussions regarding ways through which both institutions can enhance religious awareness across the Maldives.
Discussions will also revolve around ways to strengthen the long-standing bilateral ties between Maldives and Turkey.
The Islamic minister will also be visiting the authority responsible for halal certification in Turkey.
Dr. Zahir will be in Turkey from May 23 – 30.
During the trip, he is accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Shafiu Ali, Imam at the Islamic Center Sheikh Nasrulla Ali as well as the Deputy Director General Abdul Azeez Ismail.
