The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has launched investigations into a case of a child bringing narcotics to school.
According to the police institution, they received reports of the child taking drugs to school in an island of Kaafu atoll.
The report was received by the police at around 11:34am on Monday.
However, further details such as the name of the school and a specific island were not disclosed by the authority.
Further investigations are currently underway.
Although the police institution has not revealed which island the incident took place in, RaajjeMV understands that the incident took place in Maafushi island.
There have been reports that the problem of drug trafficking has been growing in Maafushi island, with children also getting immersed in the network.
