A Maldivian pilgrim has died in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He was in the Holy land for an Umrah pilgrimage .
The deceased has been identified as Saeed Yoosuf, an elderly native of Meedhoo island in Raa atoll.
He died aged 71, early Saturday, while undergoing treatment at the hospital after a sudden ailment.
Yoosuf was on pilgrimage under the charge of Zam Zam Hajj and Umrah Travel Group.
Zam Zam Hajj and Umrah Travel Group revealed that Yoosuf succumbed to a sudden health deterioration, while receiving treatment at the King Faisal Hospital.
This comes just a few days after another Maldivian pilgrim also died in Mecca, while on Umrah pilgrimage. The man was identified as , Aboobakuru Hassan, 76 and native to Eydhafushi island of Baa atoll.
Reports said that Aboobakuru Hassan died after returning to his hotel from the mosque after performing Fajr prayer, on April 27.
