Maldivian pilgrims are in good health: Hajj Mission
This year's Hajj day falls on June 5
Hajj Mission says that the time pilgrims need to spend at Jeddah Airport has been greatly reduced
Pilgrims have expressed satisfaction with arrangements

The Maldives Hajj Mission has stated that the 1,000 Maldivian pilgrims performing Hajj pilgrimage this year have arrived in Mecca and that all the pilgrims are in good health.

Maldivian pilgrims began departing for Mecca starting May 26. The last group of pilgrims departed on May 30.

In a message shared by the Hajj Mission on Saturday, it was stated that under the Makkah Route Initiative, there has been a significant ease in the travel arrangements for pilgrims this year.

As such, the Hajj Mission says that the time pilgrims need to spend at Jeddah Airport has been greatly reduced, and pilgrims have expressed satisfaction with this.

While the Maldivian Hajj Mission is handling matters related to pilgrims in coordination with the government of Saudi Arabia, the President and First Lady departed for Hajj on Saturday morning as special guests of the Saudi government.

This year's Hajj day falls on June 5.
