The First Couple have departed on an unofficial visit to Singapore.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed departed from Velana International Airport (VIA) on Thursday evening.
Their last trip to Singapore was on February 23, where the Maldivian president underwent a thyroid surgery.
After a successful surgery, the president and his spouse returned to Maldives on March 6.
The president even toured some islands of the archipelago nation upon his return.
As such, during an event in Fuvahmulah City, the president revealed that doctors had advised him against giving long speeches at public events due to his health condition. He cited doctors having instructed him to refrain from giving speeches at events for at least six weeks after the operation, to allow a smooth recovery process.
Although doctors had advised him so, the president continued to fulfil his presidential duties and holding meetings as well as gathering events following his return.
