President met with the members of the Dhihdhoo Island Council on Thursday

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that a technical survey would be conducted to determine the best solution for the harbor and beach erosion problems of A.Dh. Dhihdhoo Island .

The President made the comment at a meeting he held on Thursday with members of Dhihdhoo Island Council , after the Councilors expressed concern over the issue. The meeting was held at the President's Office.

President's Office disclosed that President Solih assured the Council members that the government would consult with relevant authorities and identify ways to address the concerns raised by them during the meeting. The President reiterated the government's commitment to implementing equitable development projects across the country.

Members of Dhihdhoo Island Council shared their concerns and the pertinent needs of the island residents, with the President.

In addition to the harbor and beach erosion problem, the council members also expressed concerns over areas such as the socio-economic development of the island and matters concerning youth development, and the need to upgrade the level of health service in the island, as well as the lack of space in the island school and Council Office.

At todays meeting, Dhihdhoo Council members also thanked the government for continuing the developmental projects in the island despite the global pandemic.
