Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) held a roadshow to promote Maldives, in Dubai.

The roadshow named, ‘Connect with Maldives - Your Safe Haven’ was held on March 29. MMPRC held the roadshow in between the Qatar Business and Luxury Travel Congress, which was held on 28th March and the Meetings Arabia and Luxury Travel Congress, which was held from March 30th to 31st.

MMPRC conducted the roadshow  alongside eight industry partners.

During the roadshow, MMPRC and industry partners showcased a destination presentation، highlighting the products, experiences, and latest travel guidelines on Maldives. The safety provided by the scattered geography of the Maldives was also highlighted during the roadshow.

MMPRC stated that the presentation was followed by a productive night of networking and building new business relations.

Moreover, they even held a special raffle، which awarded a free holiday in the Maldives.

MMPRC's aim in conducting these events in Dubai was to promote Maldives in the Middle East as the world's leading destination and maintain the Maldives' destination presence in the market. The corporation stated that this comes under a new short term strategy devised to address the evolving geopolitical climate in the world following the effects of the Russia-Ukraine war.

As such, with Russia and CIS topping the arrivals figures in recent years, the corporation aimed to mitigate the potential negative impact on arrival numbers from this region by re-strategizing marketing activities in selected markets to minimize the potential adverse effects on the Maldives tourism industry.
