State revenue reaches MVR 5.4 billion
Income generated from tax reaches MVR 4 billion
The state received MVR 1.4 billion as Non-Tax revenue
The state received MVR 2.9 million as capital receipts and MVR 65.3 million as Grants

Ministry of Finance revealed that the state has received MVR 5.4 billion as revenue, so far this year.

Statistics revealed by the Ministry of Finance shows that the state revenue until 10 March is MVR 1.5 billion more than what the state earned as revenue during the same period last year. On 2021, from 01 January to 10 March, the state received MVR 3.9 billion as revenue.

The Ministry's statistics shows that income generated from tax reaches MVR 4 billion. As such, the state received MVR 529.2 as General Goods and Services Tax and MVR 1.6 billion as Tourism Goods and Services Tax. Moreover, MVR 1 billion was generated as Business and Property Tax.

While the sate earned MVR 551.9 million as Import Duties, statistics shows that MVR 202.8 million was earned as Green Tax, and MVR 114.5 million was earned as Airport Service Charge.

The state received MVR 1.4 billion as Non-Tax revenue, according to the Finance Ministry. This is a MVR 709 million more than previous year's MVR 691 million.

Statistics shows that the Maldivian state received MVR 2.9 million as capital receipts and MVR 65.3 million as Grants, so far this year.

The state has recorded a total expenditure of MVR 6.6 billion thus far in 2022. This includes MVR 5.9 billion reported as recurrent and capital expenditure.
