Hassan Mughnee has been appointed the new State Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Technology.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the appointment on Wednesday.
Prior to his appointment, Mughnee filled the position of Managing Director at State Electric Company (STELCO).
The new State Minister for Environment holds a Master of Business Administration from Brandies International Business School, Massachusetts, USA, and a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and Marketing from HELP University College, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
With this, Ahmed Shareef, the ex-Elections Commissioner has been appointed the Managing Director of STELCO.
There are currently seven State Ministers for Environment including Mughnee.
