The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is collaborating with other friendly nations to explore the options of transferring the remaining Maldivian students stranded in Ukraine, to safety.

In its most recent update regarding the Ukraine crisis, the foreign ministry revealed that it is Maldivian students

Further, discussions are also underway to make the transfer, with other friendly nations.

The authority revealed that the students in the three cities are currently doing well and are in good spirits despite being in the face of such crisis. They also have enough food, water and cash on hand, said the ministry.

They are currently monitoring the situation of the Maldivian students as well as the students of other countries residing in the region.

The Ministry earlier revealed that they are exploring options to take students to a safer location and possible repatriation with the Embassy of Maldives in Berlin, Germany as well.

On Wednesday, all except five students returned to Maldives from the border city of Ukraine, Kharkiv.

Further, the ministry revealed that 14 students remain in Ivano-Frankivsk, on the eastern side and one in another city.

Foreign Ministry is currently in touch with all students and closely monitoring the situation as it unfolds.
