Tools to equip Special Education Need (SEN) classrooms have been donated to nine schools.
The country’s national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) made the donation as part of the bank’s CSR strategy to support persons with disabilities.
BML revealed that the donation will pave the way for more than 330 students to develop their individual abilities and positively impact learning and development in an inclusive environment.
This year’s donation was made on the International Day of Education.
BML made the donation to schools spanning across nine islands:
- Funadhoo island in Shaviyani atoll,
- Holhudhoo island in Noonu atoll,
- Naifaru island in Lhaviyani atoll,
- Guraidhoo island in Kaafu atoll,
- Ukulhas island in Alif Alif atoll,
- Mahibadhoo island in Alif Dhaalu atoll,
- Gan island in Laamu atoll,
- Kolamaafushi island in Gaaf Alif atoll,
- Madaveli island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll.
The country’s national bank has donated educational tools to 29 schools across the country over the past two years.
This was done in a bid to support students in SEN classes.
