Expanding healthcare across the entirety of Maldives, is a major priority of the administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, says Vice President Faisal Naseem.
Taking the podium at the ceremony to inaugurate the development project to digitize the laboratory at the Fuvahmulah Hospital and expand the facilities for modern healthcare capabilities on Tuesday, the vice president noted that the government highly prioritizes enhancing the healthcare system of the country.
Shedding light on the multiple ongoing efforts by the government to secure and improve decentralized healthcare services nationwide, VP Naseem noted that the provision of quality healthcare in all atolls and islands remains a major priority of the incumbent administration.
Going on to state that resources provided for the health sector, specifically in the tertiary hospitals have increased significantly across the nation, VP Naseem highlighted that the new extension building will prove to be beneficial in addressing the issues of laboratory space shortage at the city hospital.
Further, other services including the specialist OPD and speech therapy services for children with disabilities are expected to be included in the new premises.
