A 42-year-old man has been arrested under accusations of sexually abusing a minor.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the 42-year-old man is accused of molesting a 13-year-old.
The case was reported to the police division in the south on September 23.
When presented to the court for his remand hearing, the man was remanded pending the outcome of his trial.
Further investigations are underway.
