An additional 32 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19, from Addu City.
According to the latest statistics by Addu Equatorial Hospital, 21 of the 32 cases reported by 6pm Saturday was from Maradhoo. 10 were from Hithadhoo and a single case was reported from Maradhoo Feydhoo.
24 of the individuals that tested positive, contracted the virus via a direct contact. Four positive tested individuals had gone to flu clinics, and three were detected from random samples.
From all districts in Addu City, Maradhoo currently has the highest active case count, with 139 cases. Hithadhoo reported 79 cases, 17 in Feydhoo, nine from Maradhoo Feydhoo, three from Hulhudhoo, 22 from Meedhoo and a single case from Gan.
With this, all cases in Addu City adds up to 270.
While Addu’s Covid Fality is treating five positive cases, Addu City has reported three Covid-19 fatalities so far.
Addu City has been brought under a state of monitoring due to the spike of coronavirus cases.
