The opportunity to win MVR 100,000 has been presented to the winner of the logo design for Dhivehi Premiere League.
Football Association of Maldives (FAM) announced that all those interested can now take part in a competition to design the Dhivehi Premiere League logo.
This competition will proceed until the 10th of September.
This is the first time the public has been called on to design the logo of the Maldives’ biggest league event.
On Wednesday night, FAM’s President, Bassam Adeel Jaleel stated that this was a great opportunity for artists and designers to showcase their talents and creativity.
FAM informed that a special agreement will be made with the person who wins the MVR 100,000 and stated that FAM would receive the copyrights of the logo under the agreement.
Other terms and conditions for the competition include that the soft version of the logo presented should be a vector file and available for editing. Persons submitting their designs must ensure their logos represent the local, cultural lifestyle and it should represent the local football and Maldivian way of life.
Designers are also required to submit their logos in its original color, as well as black and white, as soft and hard copies.
As this opportunity was presented, after the first division’s name was rebranded to Dhivehi Premier League, the first logo ever was designed back in 2015. As the event was sponsored by Ooredoo the first two years, the name used was Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. However, after Dhiraagu attained sponsorship in the year 2018, the name Dhiraagu Premier League has been used to this very day.
FAM has publicized the format to compete in the Premier League to the entire nation. According to the new format, the Dhivehi Premier League season of 2023-2024 will commence with the teams already present in the League. In addition, there will be champions of four zones. Therefore, a total of 12 teams will be seen in the Dhivehi Premier League.
