Fire breaks out at Ritz-Carlton water villa

Incident reported at around 12:29pm on Saturday
A fire broke out in one of Ritz-Carlton Maldives' water villas on Thursday night.
Confirming the fire, Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) said that the fire was reported to the Fire and Rescue Services at around 12:29pm on Saturday.
The team was immediately dispatched to the scene, according to MNDF.
As per the latest reports from the resort, the fire has been controlled.
While the cause is yet to be revealed, MNDF said that this can be determined after the Fire and Rescue team -who have since arrived on the island- completes its inspection of the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
