Maldives has been nominated for 10 destination category awards in Indian Ocean Nominees of the World Travel Awards 2021.
World Travel Awards is the most prestigious awards given to leading principle providers of the tourism industry. Established, in 1993, these awards are highly significant in marking the quality and achievements of a tourism provider.
The 10 destination categories that Maldives is nominated for, at the 28th World Travel Awards are;
Maldives has also been nominated as Indian Ocean's Best Cruise Destination at World Cruise Awards 2021.
Voting for the Indian Ocean Nominees at the World Travel Awards will remain open until September 1st. Voting opportunities for World Cruise Awards will remain open until August 31st.
Maldives has previously won some awards at the World Travel Awards as well. Maldives won the World Leading Destination award at the Grand Final of the World Travel Awards 2020, which was the first time the country won this award.
