18 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Fuvahmulah City.

This includes 10 locals and eight foreigners.

While this pushes the city's coronavirus case count to 792, with the 752 recoveries recorded, there are currently 41 active cases there.

From the active cases, most were recorded from Miskiymagu district, 33 to be exact. One case each was found in ‘Dhadimagu’ and ‘Hoadhadu’ districts, whereas three were found in ‘Funaadu’ and ‘Maadhadu’ districts. As of now the only districts free of Covid-19 cases, are ‘Malegan’ and ‘Dhoondigan’.

659 houses are currently under monitoring in the city while 290 people are listed as high-risk contacts.

17,588 samples have been tested from Fuvahmulah thus far.

Furthermore, 3,600 people have received both vaccine doses while 5,888 people have received the first shots.

Authorities recently eased Covid-19 restriction in Fuvahmulah City as well. As such, curfew time has been shortened from 9pm to 4am. While shops, cafes, restaurants and salons are allowed to resume operations, gatherings exceeding three individuals are still not allowed.

Fuvahmulah remains under a state of monitoring.
