The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has established a self-collection station for the issuance of license cards and vehicle registries.

According to the Transport Authority, the new service launched at time the Maldivian healthcare authorities are yet to control the spread of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic nationwide. The service ensures license cards and vehicle registries are issued without the need for individuals to queue up.

The center has been opened on the second floor of the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, located in Chanbeylee Villa in Maafannu-ward of Malé City.

The self-collection station for the issuance of license cards and vehicle registries was inaugurated by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula.

Transport Authority revealed that the establishment of the center will pave eases and efficiency for individuals collecting their license cards and vehicle registries.

Individuals will be notified via text message, once their license cards are ready for collection.

The Transport Authority has temporarily halted the issuance of license cards for those seeking license for the first time, due to the worsening situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. The service was halted on May 5.

However, other services may be acquired online.
