Fatal accident in Male' City leaves one person dead

A person in the backseat of the motorbike at the time of the accident passed away while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital

A fatal accident in Male' City has left one person dead, after an oncoming motorbike crashed into a wheelbarrow on Huvafenee street in the Maldives' capital.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) received report of the accident at around 10pm on Wednesday evening. One person was killed in the accident, while receiving treatment at ADK Hospital for injuries sustained. They had been in the backseat of the motorbike at the time of the collision.

Police have revealed that they are investigating the accident.
