President Office's made the announcement on Tuesday
The government has opened application opportunity for the recently vacated post of Auditor General.
The announcement was made by the President’s Office on Tuesday, following the resignation of Hassan Ziyath. Ziyath tendered his resignation on May 12.
The President’s Office will be accepting applications forwarded through June 6 – 7 between 10am and 12:30pm.
Interested individuals may download the required documents and application forms from the President’s Office website.
Ziyath was implicated in the grand corruption scandal involving the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) which saw the embezzlement of state coffers. The Auditor General’s name was listed among those who received embezzled funds, by the Asset Recovery Commission established to investigate the case.
