The Maldives Police Service (MPS) is seeking more victims in connection with a case of fraudulently acquiring money with the promise of importing vehicles.

The case is being investigated by the Police Economic Crime Department.

It involves Megatron Motors Maldives Wave International, a company that had allegedly, fraudulently acquired money from several people on the pretext of bringing vehicles.

As such, MPS wants to investigate whether money was taken from more people as part of this scam.

Anyone who was approached by the company and had paid them to bring vehicles, has been asked to contact the authorities through 9790048 to share any information they can.

The police institution took the opportunity to express gratitude to the public for the immense support and cooperation extended in such cases.
