Addu City's active Covid-19 case count is at 38

The Covid-19 case count in southernmost Addu City has risen to 88, with two additional infections confirmed over the last 24 hours.

The Addu Emergency Operations Center revealed that with the additional cases confirmed, they have identified a total of 471 direct contacts thus far. The latest case was confirmed from the 71 samples tested between 6pm Thursday and 6pm Friday.

According to latest statistics publicized by the center, a total of 125 buildings have been placed in quarantine following the confirmation of the additional Covid-19 cases.

The southernmost city’s active coronavirus case count currently sits at 38.

A total of 50 Covid-19 patients in the city have observed full recoveries thus far, four patients are currently hospitalized for treatment in Addu.

Public health authorities in the southernmost city have collected 3,033 random samples for testing thus far.

22 of the 87 total Covid-19 cases in the southernmost city were detected in Hithadhoo district, followed by four cases in Maradhoo Feydhoo, 17 from Feydhoo, 10 from Meedhoo and 35 infections from the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) cluster.
