Henceforth beginning Sunday, the Maafushi Island Council has issued a seven-day notice for private parties and businesses to clear their assets from land being used without authorization in Maafushi.

In addition to this, the Maafushi Council went on to declare that once the seven-day notice period was complete, the council would be working with relevant authorities to clear the lands being used without authorization. This will involve removing physical assets and demolishing buildings constructed without permission.
