Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded their services at their branch in Maafushi island of Kaafu atoll.
In a statement on Sunday, the country’s national bank announced the expansion of services at its Maafushi branch.
This was done in a bid to offer a full range of banking solutions to both individuals and businesses.
BML will operate as a full-fledged branch offering all services including USD deposits and withdrawals, loans and financing applications, cheque deposits, issuing statements as well as currency exchange with this change.
Further, the branch houses an ATM center for round-the-clock access to cash withdrawals, deposits as well as transfers.
BML's Director of Retail, Business and SME Banking Moosa Nimal revealed that Maafushi is a bustling hub for local tourism with which the demand for banking services has grown, with the increasing number of visitors to Maafushi.
Nimal expressed pleasure in expanding BML’s presence in Maafushi and providing the community, businesses and visitors with convenient access to a comprehensive suite of banking services.
The country’s national bank remains committed to support individuals, businesses, and communities nationwide, boasting a nationwide network of 38 branches, 86 self-service banking centers, 143 ATMs, more than 200 agents and a full suite of digital banking services.
