The Government of Maldives has issued a visa advisory for Maldivians traveling to Pakistan, following a decision by Pakistani Immigration to discontinue manually issuing visas to travelers.

The Government of Maldives issued the visa advisory on to Maldivians traveling to Pakistan on 29 January, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The advisory details that Pakistani Immigration Services have discontinued manual issuing visas to travelers, and that the services would now be conducted through an online. This change in immigration will be reflected in the issuing of on-arrival visas to travelers landing in Pakistan, who will now be issued visas through the new online portal set up by Pakistan's immigration authority.

Issuing of visas to travelers arriving in Pakistan will be conducted exclusively through the online portal beginning 31 January 2021. The link to Pakistani Immigration's online portal can be found at (www.visa.nhadra.gov.pk), where additional information will also be available for travelers seeking to enter Pakistan.
