President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inspected a military training demonstration at the Central Area Headquarters of the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF), as part of his ongoing visit to Laamu atoll.

The president visited Kadhdhoo island in the atoll on Thursday afternoon, which is expected to be followed by Gan island later in the day to inaugurate the Laamu Gan Central Power Plant, Laamu Gan Zone Stadium as well as the CT scan service at the Laamu Gan Regional Hospital.

The military training demonstration was held from November 16 to December 3 this year and was aimed at strengthening the skills and readiness of military officers of the island nation.

Military officers showcased their skills, learned during the training program, to the president on Thursday.

The President was accompanied by Minister of Defense and National Security, Mariya Ahmed Didi as well as senior MNDF officials.
