An individual has been found dead in Dhidhdhoo island of Haa Alif atoll.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that deceased is a 59-year-old Maldivian man and they received the report close to 6pm, Thursday.
The man was found motionless where the waves meet the shore in the south of the island.
With the assistance from officers, the man was moved to the hospital in an ambulance, where he was pronounced dead-upon-arrival by doctors.
Further investigations are being conducted into the death, assured police.
