The Covid-19 patient, a crew member of a boat from Thinadhoo that undertakes frequent trips to the capital, is currently hospitalized for treatment at the Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital.

On Saturday, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) ordered the island council to implement its decision to place monitoring measures on the island following samples collected from the man having returned positive for the coronavirus infection.
