As such, the new cases include 34 Maldivian nationals, 14 Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian nationals.

This has pushed the country’s Covid-19 tally to 3,302.

With no additional recoveries reported since the 76 recoveries were reported on Saturday, the country’s recoveries remain at 2,534.

HPA further revealed that there are 738 active cases of the infection in the island nation thus far, while Maldives has seen 15 deaths to the pandemic thus far.

574 individuals are currently remaining in isolation facilities across the nation with none in quarantine.

Since the government offices and institutions were opened on July 5 under the third phase of the lockdown ease plan, implemented on May 29 after months since the lockdown was imposed across the Greater Malé Region on April 15 following the detection of a community transmission, there has been a spike in Covid-19 cases being discovered.

The Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) has since revealed that most of the cases being reported of recent are from government institutions and state offices.
