The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has raised charges on an individual accused of raping a minor.
Ahmed Althaf, 23 and native to Filladhoo island in Haa Alif atoll, is accused of raping the 17-year-old girl and the Prosecutor General’s Office has forwarded the charges against him to the Meemu Kolhufushi Magistrate Court.
He was charged for the offense of deliberately touching a child with sexual intentions, revealed PGO.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has been raising charges against individuals linked to cases of sexual offenses, which have been rising of recent.
